Lichfield Ladies have finally recovered from the National 80th celebrations in Solihull which took place on 25th June 2016. Members of Lichfield Ladies Circle joined 560 ladies to celebrate the 80th birthday of the National Association of Ladies Circle at St John’s Hotel in Solihull.
A 1936 themed celebration was held for guests which included a three course luncheon, entertainment, cocktails and a raffle. The event went really well and the ladies who attended had an absolute blast – the hotel ran out of prosecco thanks to the attendees drinking the bar dry!
Guests were greeted with signature blue cocktails (the Ladies Circle logo colour of course), browsed the stalls whilst catching up with friends and enjoying the luncheon with speakers including Rosie Green, Beauty Editor at Red magazine and the Coxless Crew – the incredible young women who rowed the Pacific last year – so inspiring. Everyone was given a gift of a cocktail shaker with the event logo on – to continue the celebrations back home. A vintage singer also had everyone up dancing – it was fantastic.
Why do women join the Ladies Circle? Women join because they want to make new friends, have fun, do things they’ve never done before and put something back into the community at the same time. They stay because what they find is a ready-made group of friends from all walks of life who allow them to just be themselves.
Whether you’re new to the area or just looking to broaden your social life, Lichfield Ladies Circle is the perfect way to get more out of life. Lichfield Ladies Circle meets once a fortnight on a Tuesday evening for ladies between the ages of 18 and 45.
